Vintage US Army JFK Special Warfare Center Badge — G-23
A gold-toned circular badge carrying the insignia of the United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School. The design was approved in November 1952 and is still in use today. It centres on a shield bearing a flaming torch, topped with a Trojan Horse head crest, with the Latin motto VERITAS ET LIBERTAS ("Truth and Freedom") on a scroll below.
"UNITED STATES" arcs along the top edge, "ARMY SCHOOL" along the bottom, set against a radiating sunburst field. The reverse carries a stamped "G-23" designation and three brass fasteners.
Circa: Mid-20th century onward. The insignia design was approved in 1952; this piece has the look and feel of a vintage example rather than a modern reissue.
Condition: Good used condition with only minor wear. The front is clean with no oxidation. A few minor spots on the reverse that would likely polish right up. No cracks, no breaks. The shield surface is intact. All three reverse fasteners are present and secure. The clear plastic display tab is a later storage addition, not original issue. Please examine all photos carefully for condition details.
