Vintage GDR NVA Medal for Faithful Service — Gold Class (15 Years)

An original Médaille pour treue Dienste in der Nationalen Volksarmee (Medal for Faithful Service in the National People's Army), gold class, awarded for 15 years of loyal service in the armed forces of the German Democratic Republic. Established on 1 June 1956, this medal was presented in the name of the Minister of National Defence to members of the NVA (Army, Navy, Air Force/Air Defence) and the Stasi.

Obverse: A soldier of the National People's Army in service cap and tunic, holding an assault rifle across his body, set against an industrial backdrop of factory buildings and smokestacks. The inscription "FÜR TREUE DIENSTE" (For Faithful Service) appears on a banner across the lower field, framed by a laurel wreath.
