Vintage Cafe Engels Goblets x3 Alpacca Silber 90 Silver Plated Wine Cups

Vintage set of three Cafe Engels goblets, each engraved “Cafe Engels” to the circular foot.

The goblets are made from Alpacca / nickel silver base metal with a silver-plated finish and are marked “ALPACCA SILBER 90” to the base. The “90” marking refers to the silver-plated finish and does not indicate solid silver.

They have a distinctive darkened, heavily patinated appearance with simple stepped rims, slender stems and round bases.

Condition:

The interiors also show tarnish and surface discolouration, while the stems and bases have further marks and wear from previous use. They have not been polished or restored.
