Original Dutch KLPD Verkeerspolitie police insignia mounted on a black leather hanger.

The gold-coloured metal badge has a blue and white central design prominently marked KLPD, with VERKEERSPOLITIE around the lower edge.

KLPD stands for Korps Landelijke Politiediensten, the former national police service of the Netherlands. The KLPD operated from 1993 until the end of 2012 and included the Dienst Verkeerspolitie, its specialist traffic police service.

The badge remains attached to its shaped stitched black leather hanger with a buttonhole-style slot for attachment.
