This is a genuine vintage Yixing zisha teapot from the esteemed Square Circle (方圆牌) line, crafted by Factory 1 in Yixing, China and intended for export in the late 1980s to early 1990s.

The teapot features a stunning phoenix-themed design with the spout shaped like a phoenix’s head and the handle as its flowing tail. A unique ribbon motif, applied in dark slip clay, wraps gracefully around the side. The lid is topped with a rounded peach or blossom knob — symbolizing renewal and prosperity.

Crafted from authentic hongni red zisha clay, the surface has a soft, matte finish and fine-grain texture typical of export-era molded Yixing ware. This teapot comes with its original red diamond Square Circle export label, a green “Made in China” sticker, and its brocade presentation box with satin lining — all in excellent vintage condition.
