2x Vintage London Commercial Football League Award Medals 1949-54 Enamel

Pair of vintage London Commercial Football League award medals dating from the 1949-50 and 1953-54 football seasons.

Each medal features the London coat of arms at the centre, surrounded by blue enamel lettering reading "London Commercial F.L." and an ornate wreath-style border.

The reverse inscriptions read:

• Division 1 Winners, 1953-54, marked Usher, Birmingham
• H-U Division 1, 1949-50, marked Fattorini, Birmingham

The exact meaning of the H-U designation has not been confirmed and has therefore been reproduced exactly as marked.

The medals appear to be silver-coloured base metal with blue enamel decoration. No recognised silver hallmark has been identified, and the metal has not been tested. They are not being sold as solid silver.

Condition:
Good vintage condition with general surface wear, scratches, rubbing, tarnishing and age-related marks. Please inspect the photographs carefully for the condition of the enamel, metal finish and engraved reverses.
