Vintage 1988 NUS P&O Strike Women's Support Group Enamel Pin Badge Dover
Original vintage enamel pin badge produced for the Women's Support Group during the 1988 National Union of Seamen (NUS) dispute with P&O.
The circular badge features a lighthouse above the letters "NUS", with stylised waves and a rocky shoreline beneath. The surrounding inscription reads "Women's Support Group", while the lower banner carries the wording "P&O Striker 1988".
The badge relates to the major P&O seafarers' dispute of 1988-1989. Contemporary photographs document members of the Women's Support Group supporting the strike at Dover, and an identical badge is recorded in the Women's Library collection as an NUS strike-support badge.
