Chatillon UTSM Motorised Test Stand - Tensile and Compression Tester

Original Chatillon Model UTSM motorised test stand designed for tensile and compression force testing. Built for precision laboratory and engineering use, this unit accommodates a range of Chatillon force gauges and related accessories via its standard mounting interface.

About Chatillon

Chatillon (also known as John Chatillon and Sons) is an American manufacturer with a long history in force measurement instruments. The UTSM is a motorised test stand from their professional range, designed to work with Chatillon's dial and digital force gauges for repeatable, controlled tensile and compression testing. Units like this were widely used in quality control, materials testing, and laboratory environments.

Condition

Good overall condition. The glass on the dial is cracked (see photos) - this can be sourced and replaced without affecting the core mechanism. The unit has not been powered on or tested, as it connects via an XLR plug and the appropriate power source was not available. Sold as described and as found.
