<p><b>Vintage Portuguese Galo de Barcelos rooster figurine job lot comprising six assorted folk art ornaments in a mixture of sizes and finishes.</b></p><br /><p><b>The lot includes five brightly painted traditional Galo de Barcelos cockerels decorated in black, red, green, yellow, blue and white with the characteristic dotted heart motifs, together with one larger silver-coloured embossed rooster featuring floral and heart decoration.</b></p><br /><p><b>Several of the painted figures are marked Portugal to the base. The Galo de Barcelos, or Rooster of Barcelos, is one of Portugal’s best-known symbols and has long been produced as a traditional souvenir and piece of folk art.</b></p><br /><p><b>Condition:</b></p><br /><p><b>Fair vintage condition overall, with paint loss, chips, scratches, rubbing, tarnishing, surface marks and general age-related wear throughout. The largest painted rooster has noticeable paint loss around the comb and other raised areas, while the silver-coloured example shows tarnishing and wear consistent with age. Please study all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.</b></p>
