2 Vintage Zippo Lighters USS Donald B Beary HMCS Algonquin STANAVFORLANT

Pair of vintage Zippo windproof petrol lighters decorated with naval ship crests and NATO maritime emblems.

The first is a slim Zippo commemorating the United States Navy frigate USS Donald B. Beary, pennant number FF-1085. One side features the ship's coloured crest and name, while the reverse shows a black silhouette of the frigate above the wording:

USS Donald B. Beary was a Knox-class frigate of the United States Navy. The vessel is officially recorded under the designation FF-1085.

The second is a standard-size Zippo featuring the STANAVFORLANT emblem, representing NATO's former Standing Naval Force Atlantic. The reverse carries the coloured crest of HMCS Algonquin with the motto:

A COUP SUR

HMCS Algonquin was a Royal Canadian Navy destroyer associated with Canadian and international naval operations.

Condition:
Good vintage condition overall, with surface scratches, rubbing, marks, tarnishing and general age-related wear. Please inspect the photographs carefully for the condition of the chrome finishes, coloured emblems, hinges, inserts and base stamps.

Both lighters require replacement flints or similar servicing. They have not been fuelled or function-tested and are therefore sold as untested. No claim is made that either lighter is currently working.

Late 20th century. The individual Zippo production dates should be established from the base stamps.
