Vintage Minnie Maria Miniatures Jack & Jill Pewter Nursery Rhyme Thimble – c.1998

A characterful hand-painted pewter figural thimble by Minnie Maria Miniatures, depicting the traditional nursery rhyme Jack and Jill.

The miniature scene shows Jill standing above Jack following his tumble, with Jack lying backwards and the pail incorporated into the composition.

The hollow lower section forms the thimble itself, while the detailed figures are modelled around the top.

The piece also incorporates articulated / jointed miniature elements, characteristic of Minnie Maria's hand-assembled pewter work.
