Large mixed collection of vintage and collectable thimbles, including numerous china and porcelain examples together with metal, glass and other materials.

The collection includes a broad mixture of floral, commemorative, advertising, topographical, animal, character and decorative designs, with a number of better named and boxed examples.

Visible makers and names include Royal Doulton, Spode and Caverswall, together with other English and British-made examples. Several thimbles retain their original presentation boxes or cases.

There are also a number of metal thimbles, decorative enamel-style examples, souvenir thimbles and unusual pieces amongst the collection.

Condition:

Good mixed vintage condition overall with variation between pieces. Expect general age and handling wear, surface marks, rubbing, tarnishing to some metal examples and wear to boxes and cases. Individual pieces have not been examined for every small chip, crack or manufacturing flaw, so please study the photographs carefully.
