Antique Rare Three-Footed Cast Iron Cobblers Anvil Shoes Makers Decorative Items

Pair of antique cast iron cobbler's anvils, traditionally used for shaping and repairing shoes. Heavy, solid pieces with a classic three-footed form, ideal as decorative items or for collectors of vintage tools.

Condition:

Both anvils show storage wear and natural rust patina from age. One anvil is complete with all three feet. The second anvil has the third foot snapped off, which is shown clearly in the photos. Despite this, both remain solid and make excellent display pieces.

Circa:

Early 20th century (1900s-1930s).

About the Items:

Cobbler's anvils or shoe lasts were used to form and support shoes while working on the leather. Cast iron examples such as these are now widely collected for their industrial charm, weighty presence and sculptural look.
