Vintage French WW2 1939-1945 Commemorative War Medal Bronze Ribbon

The bronze hexagonal medal features a Gallic rooster with wings spread, positioned against a Cross of Lorraine and standing upon a broken chain.

The reverse is inscribed:

RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE GUERRE 1939 1945

The medal is suspended from its distinctive pale blue ribbon, incorporating green and red edge stripes together with a vertical series of red V-shaped motifs.

Condition:

The ribbon shows age and handling wear, including some fraying and loose threads along the upper edge.

The mounting pin remains present.
