Opening the case reveals a finely detailed removable devotional figure depicting the crowned Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child. The figure has patterned robes and fits securely within the shaped interior compartment.

The base of the figure appears to be marked "Germany", indicating German manufacture.

Designed to be carried in a pocket, handbag or travel case, this compact devotional shrine would make a lovely addition to a collection of vintage religious items, Catholic memorabilia or miniature shrines.

Condition: Good vintage condition with surface scratches, rubbing, tarnishing, darkened areas and general age-related wear. There is some discolouration and wear to both the metal case and the devotional figure. The hinge and closing mechanism appear intact.
