A substantial near-complete collection of original A&BC Flags of the World confectionery / bubble gum trading cards, issued in Britain in 1959.

The complete UK series comprises 80 numbered cards. This collection contains 79 of the 80 cards, with only a single card required for completion.

The colourful illustrated fronts combine national flags with characteristic landmarks, people and scenes representing countries from around the world.

The reverses contain educational information including the country's capital, area, population and distance information, together with the distinctive “How They Say” feature giving words and phrases associated with the featured country.

The cards carry the A&BC branding and are marked Printed in England.

This is the larger-format British A&BC version of the series, issued after the original American Topps Flags of the World cards.

Condition:
